Modyfi’s approach to psychiatry goes beyond medication management. We blend conventional diagnostics and medications with a root-cause lens to address nutrition, sleep, hormones, trauma, and lifestyle as part of your care. Our psychiatric providers take the time to understand your full story and collaborate on a plan that supports long-term healing, not just short-term relief.
medication
Modyfi is an all virtual clinic offering psychiatric services to children, adolescents, adults, and aging adults. Your initial evaluation will be 60 minutes with 30 – 60 minute follow ups to allow you the time to feel heard. You can discuss your symptoms and relevant diagnostics, explore treatment options, and have your medications sent to a pharmacy of your choice.

Food is medicine. But figuring out what nourishes your mind and body can be confusing. Our licensed nutrition therapists help you understand the root causes of imbalance, support brain and gut health, and develop sustainable habits that fuel your unique healing and clarity.
FAQs
Yes. We often use pharmacogenomic testing through partners like GeneSight®, Tempus®, and Genomind® to understand how your body metabolizes and responds to specific medications. These tests analyze genetic variations in liver enzymes and neurotransmitter, and methylation factors helping guide safer, more effective prescribing. Combined with your clinical history and lifestyle data, this can allow us to tailor your psychiatric treatment for the best balance of efficacy and tolerability.
Psychiatric medications support communication between brain cells by influencing neurotransmitters, chemicals like serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine that affect mood, energy, and focus. Over time, effective treatment can increase brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a key growth and neuroprotective protein that helps repair neural pathways and strengthen brain resilience. At Modyfi, we focus not just on symptom control but also on restoring optimal brain function through medication, nutrition, and lifestyle interventions that support neuroplasticity.
Each medication or supplement class has potential side effects, which vary from person to person. Common ones can include mild nausea, sleep or appetite changes, or temporary fatigue. If you experience these side effects then this is likely not a good treatment for you, and you will never be encouraged to just “stick it out”. Your provider will explain what to expect, monitor your response closely, and make adjustments to find the right medication and dose for your unique biochemistry.
