Our Clinic
A guide in your health and wellness journey
Our approach
Our integrative approach seeks to understand you as a whole person, treating any underlying cause of your symptoms. Patients seek help from our team members for numerous mental health and nutritional conditions. Some mental health conditions we treat include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and PTSD. Our team can also provide solutions for treating opioid and alcohol use disorder, autism, and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Patients may see a nutritionist to treat mental health issues, IBS or IBD, pregnancy and postpartum issues, food sensitivities and intolerances, prediabetes and insulin resistance, and thyroid issues.
Locations
Though Modyfi is based in Gaithersburg, Maryland; Washington, DC; and Alexandria, Virginia; the team offers comprehensive psychiatric, therapy, and nutrition services for everyone in Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, through Telehealth.
What to expect
When patients first join Modyfi they can choose to meet with a therapist, psychiatric provider, or nutritionist. To meet with a nutritionist patients must first meet with a psychiatric provider, even if just the one time. If desired or recommended the patient can work with multiple providers at Modyfi in achieving one or more goals. For example, someone treating PTSD may see their therapist weekly and their psychiatric provider monthly in addition to nutrition services as needed. After booking their first appointment, patients can use the MyCarePlan app to easily communicate with their providers and the clinic, schedule appointments, record goals, and track progress.
ADA & FMLA
Modyfi partners with Formacist to offer expert help in completing your Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paperwork including short term disability and FMLA. Medical providers don’t speak the language of insurance companies. The disability and compliance experts at Formacist know the right language to use to get approval for an emotional support animal, academic or work accommodations, and continuous or intermittent leave of absence.
