At Modyfi, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity in mental health and wellness. Our providers are expected to adhere to the following principles to ensure quality care, professional conduct, and ethical responsibility.
1.Credentialing and Compliance
Licensure: Providers must hold and maintain active, unrestricted licensure in all states where they practice.
Professional Liability Insurance: Providers must carry valid professional liability insurance with adequate coverage.
Timely Updates: Providers must update Modyfi regarding any changes to licensure, certifications, or legal matters impacting their ability to practice.
2. Clinical Excellence and Ethical Practice
Scope of Practice: Providers must practice within the limits of their licensure, training, and expertise.
Confidentiality and HIPAA Compliance: Providers must safeguard client information and fully comply with HIPAA and other applicable regulations.
Evidence-Based Care: All treatments and interventions should be informed by scientific evidence and best practices.
Appropriate Referrals: Providers must refer clients to specialized professionals when clinical needs exceed their expertise.
3. Client Experience and Transparency
Clear Communication of Fees: All costs, including session rates and cancellation fees, must be disclosed before services are provided.
Insurance Verification: Providers must verify client insurance eligibility in advance to ensure accurate billing and coverage understanding.
Ethical Marketing: Providers should represent their services honestly and avoid misleading claims or guarantees about outcomes.
4. Billing and Financial Integrity
Accurate Billing Practices: Providers must ensure that all charges accurately reflect the services rendered.
Use of Modyfi’s Billing System: To ensure compliance and efficiency, providers must utilize Modyfi’s designated billing platform.
Prohibited Payment Methods: Client payments should not be processed through non-compliant platforms such as Venmo or Zelle.
5. Professional Conduct and Membership Responsibilities
Upholding Professionalism: Providers must conduct themselves respectfully in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and Modyfi staff.
Timely Communication: Providers should respond to inquiries from Modyfi within five business days.
Profile Accuracy: All provider profiles must be regularly updated to reflect availability, credentials, and areas of expertise.
Membership Fees: Timely payment of membership fees is required to maintain active status.
6. Prohibited Conduct
Immediate termination from Modyfi may result from the following actions:
Harassment or Discrimination: Any form of discriminatory or harassing behavior is strictly prohibited.
Hate Speech: The use of language or content that promotes harmful stereotypes or incites hate is not tolerated.
Misinformation: Dissemination of false or misleading medical, psychological, or scientific information is grounds for removal.
Privacy Violations: Unauthorized sharing of personal or client information in a harmful or unethical manner is prohibited.
7. Violation Review and Resolution
If a provider is found in potential violation of these standards, Modyfi will follow these steps:
Initial Review: Modyfi will reach out to gather context and work toward a resolution.
Investigation: Additional information may be requested, including billing records and correspondence.
Escalation: Serious cases may be reviewed by Modyfi’s Integrity Committee.
Sanctions: Actions may include probation (temporary removal from the provider directory) or termination.
Appeals: Providers may appeal a decision within 48 hours, providing documentation and corrective actions.
By upholding these standards, we aim to foster a trusted, professional, and ethical environment for both providers and clients within the Modyfi network.
