Jennifer Burkett, LPC-R, ATR-P, has a Masters in Art Therapy from The George Washington University and incorporates evidence-based approaches such as mindfulness and DBT in session. Jennifer gets excited about incorporating science about the brain in session and she has specific training in trauma-informed and trauma-focused approaches. Jennifer believes that art therapy offers unique ways to support clients in meeting therapeutic goals through movement, the senses, symbolism and creativity in addition to cognitive and emotional ways of processing.
