Amy Whaling, LMSW, is a compassionate and driven therapist currently working with Modyfi, where she brings her expertise in social work and behavioral health to support her clients. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Eastern University, graduating cum laude in 2020, and followed this with a Master’s in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Amy’s diverse experience spans work in subacute rehab facilities and behavioral health clinics, where she developed her skills in biopsychosocial assessments, patient intakes, and care management. Her approach combines clinical theories such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused techniques, helping clients address their behavioral health needs in a holistic way.
Prior to joining Modyfi, Amy worked as a social work case manager at Ascension Saint Agnes, where she played a key role in supporting post-hospital discharge patients. She collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to design tailored care plans using motivational interviewing, and managed a Medicare grant to provide additional care for vulnerable older adults in Baltimore. Amy’s critical thinking, teamwork, and passion for helping others drive her commitment to meeting patients where they are and offering the highest level of care.
